07月22日讯 美国奥运代表团官宣，两届奥运金牌得主勒布朗-詹姆斯将担任美国奥运代表团开幕式旗手！

詹姆斯的女旗手搭档将于当地时间周二宣布。

值得一提的是，詹姆斯也是历史上首个担任奥运旗手的美国NBA球员。此前两位担任美国奥运代表团旗手的运动员都来自WNBA，分别是2004年的道恩-斯特利以及2021年的苏-伯德。

詹姆斯最终成为美国奥运代表团旗手，是美国奥运所有运动员一同投票得出。首次参加奥运会的斯蒂芬-库里也获得了本次美国奥运代表团旗手的提名。
